Brainware University (BU)
Overview
Brainware University is a private university located in Barasat, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was established after the West Bengal Assembly passed the Brainware University bill in 2015. It is part of the Brainware Group of Institutions. Established as a private university in 2016, Brainware University (also known as BWU) is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. Recognised by the UGC, the university offers a total of 55 UG, PG, doctorate and diploma courses across departments such as Engineering, Science, Pharmacy, Law, Commerce and Multimedia among others.
Brainware University courses have also been approved by the AICTE, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Bar Council of India (BCI) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Brainware University has collaborated with organisations to create better opportunities for its students and faculty members. It has also signed MoUs with Digital Googly, Webguru Infosystems, Nature Technologies Pvt. Ltd and Life Productions. Brainware University consists of 21 departments under which it offers six PhD courses, 16 PG courses and 26 UG courses, it offers nine diploma courses.
